- \(A\) une matrice d'ordre \(n\) est associe un déterminant de même ordre.
- Un déterminant est formé des lignes et des colonnes appelées rangées.
Calcul du déterminant d'une matrice
a) Déterminant d'ordre \(2\)\(\lvert A \rvert = \begin{pmatrix} a_{11} & a_{12}\\ a_{21} & a_{22}\\ \end{pmatrix} \) \(=a_{11}\times a_{22}-a_{21}\times a_{12}\)
\(=-2\)
b) Déterminant d'ordre \(3\)

Règle de Sarrus
On écrit à la droite du déterminant les deux premières colonnes ou en bas les deux premières lignes

Remarques
La règle de Sarrus n'est applicable qu'aux déterminants d'ordre \(3\).
c) Mineurs et cofacteurs d'un déterminant

Soit \(A\) un déterminant d'ordre \(n\).
La valeur d'un déterminant est égale à la somme des produits des termes d'une rangée par leurs cofacteurs respectifs.

Remarques
- La règle des cofacteurs permet de calucler tout déterminant d'ordre \(n\);
- La valeur d'un déterminant ne dépend pas de la rangée par rapport à laquelle on le développe;
- Si u déterminant possède une rangée dont tous les termes sont nuls alors sa valeur est nulle.
MATRICES PARTICULIERES
a) Comatrice d'une matrice carrée
Soit \(A\) une matrice carée d'ordre \(n\).
On appelle Comatrice de \(A\) notée \(com(A)\), la matrice des cofacteurs de \(A\).

On appelle matrice adjointe de \(A\), notéé \(Adj(A)\), la transposée de la Comatrice de \(A\).

c) Matrices régulières et singulières
Soit \(A\) une matrice carrée d'ordre \(n\).
La matrice \(A\) est dite régulière si son déterminant n'est pas nul; dans le cas contraire elle dite singulière.
